Bellagreen Gets a Second Chance on Broadway

After more than a year behind a closed door, Bellagreen is ready to try Broadway again.

The Texas-born fast-casual American bistro is set to reopen its San Antonio location on Tuesday, June 16, bringing salads, pizzas, pastas, burgers, brunch, desserts, and allergy-friendly options back to 1900 Broadway, Suite 112, inside the Jefferson Bank building near Pearl. To mark the reopening, Bellagreen is offering the first 210 guests any dessert for $2.10 with the purchase of an entrée, a clear nod to the 210.

For Bellagreen, this reopening is less of a grand opening and more of a second chance.

The restaurant originally opened its first San Antonio location in November 2024, joining a growing stretch of food and drink spots helping reshape the Broadway corridor just north of downtown. But almost as soon as Bellagreen arrived, the building itself became part of the story. Exterior repairs and scaffolding around the Jefferson Bank building made the restaurant harder to see, harder to access, and harder to build the kind of everyday foot traffic new restaurants depend on. Bellagreen paused operations in May 2025, saying it would reopen once the construction work was complete and the scaffolding was removed.

Now, with the scaffolding down, Bellagreen is coming back to a neighborhood that has only continued to grow.

Broadway has become one of San Antonio’s most active restaurant corridors, especially around Pearl, Lower Broadway, and the fast-changing Midtown area. Bellagreen fits neatly into that mix: casual enough for a weekday lunch, polished enough for dinner before or after a night out, and flexible enough for diners trying to balance comfort food with healthier options.

The concept traces its roots back to 2008 and is known for a “green” approach to fast-casual dining, with chef-prepared meals, scratch-made items, and a menu built to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs. Bellagreen’s own menu highlights soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, entrées, and freshly prepared desserts, with customization available for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and other dietary preferences.
